Abraham was a very prosperous and faithful man. He led a very comfortable life in his hometown when God made him a promise and told him to travel to a knew land where the promise would be fulfilled. This sounds great except Abraham had no idea where he was going. So let's put it in perspective. You're living a great life with your friends and family. You have everything you could ever want, and God comes in and tells you to leave but doesn't tell you where to go. How do you respond? Many of us are planners, very meticulous and detailed oriented. If we don't have a plan or at least some general direction, we are too comfortable moving forward into the unknown. However, when the unknown is in God's hands, we can rest assured that there is nothing to worry about. Abraham's faithfulness and trust in God took him on a miraculous journey and eventually led to the fulfillment of God's promise. Let Abraham be your model when you're on a path led by God and you have no idea where it's headed. God will always cover you. We just need to follow His lead so we can receive His promises.
