Moses was succeeded by Joshua as the leader of the Israelites. He was one of the few that were eager to follow Moses' leadership into the Promised Land. He started out as a spy along with 11 others and was tasked with scoping out the land promised to the Israelites. Though at the time, their odds looked bleak, the land didn't look very promising, and there were fellow spies who were not convinced they should move forward with going into the land, Joshua trusted Moses and had faith in God which allowed him to eventually conquer the Promised Land. Joshua wasn't victorious over the land instantly though. A series of directions from God brought Joshua and the Israelites into the land, but it certainly took some patience to get there.
 
Often times God has a plan that He has promised to us. It's not always packaged in the way we thought it might be. It's not always easy to attain. It may not even make sense. But if we trust in God and patiently wait on His direction on when and how to move, that promise will come to fruition. God's Will and God's Way always prevail. We just have to trust in Him.
