This is probably the most popular love story in the Bible. Ruth left her family to be with her husband, only for him to be taken away from her. She chose to devote her life to her mother-in-law which came with a commitment to God. She eventually found a "kinsman redeemer" in Boaz that she might be able to carry on her husband's legacy.
 
This story isn't about romance. Rather it focuses on the loyalty and devotion that comes with loving someone. When we choose to love, we choose to be there for someone, to support them, to lift them up.
