Abraham's wife. Sarah waited for what seemed like eternity for a child; a child that was promised to her by God. When it seemed like that promise might not come, she took matters into her own hands. She did not become pregnant herself, so she gave her servant to her husband to conceive a child on her behalf. The issue with this plan is that it was not God's plan, and thus, it did not end as Sarah had anticipated.

God eventually blessed her with a son, just as He promised, but the pain and strife Sarah went through with her servant's pregnancy could have all been avoided if she just trusted in God completely. Many of us hear a message from God and when we don't see movement on it, we start doing what we think is best to fulfill those plans. If we could just be patient, we'll revel in all His promised blessings with no regrets. Just His perfect will.
