Jesus fulfilled His purpose on Calvary. He paid the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of the world by laying His life for us. There is no greater love than this. He could've been selfish. He could've said no. But His obedience to the Father far outweighed any of His own personal desires. Essentially, Jesus was born to die. He knew this coming in. What's so amazing is that with the limited time He did have, He didn't spend any of it seeking personal gains. Everything He did was for God.
 
Some of us will get more time on earth than Jesus did, if we haven't already outlived Him. How much of an impact could we make if we followed His example and did EVERYTHING for the glory of God?
 
Read Matthew 27:32-56. This focuses primarily on the crucifixion, which is just a fraction of what Jesus went through leading up to His death - the pain and sacrifice He knowingly and willingly endured for God's will. How far will we go to follow the will of God?
