Jacob's wife. Now Jacob had two notable wives, but since Jesus is from Leah's lineage, we have chosen her for our Matriarchs Collection.
 
Leah was a very patient woman. Married to a man who didn't want her and couldn't love her the way she deserved. Even though she was able to bear significantly more children than the other wife (her sister, Rachel), it wasn't enough. However, she persevered. She continued to give her best to Jacob with hardly a second glance. But when Rachel was finally able to have children, even they were favored over Leah's children.
 
Leah's circumstances don't seem ideal, but it's a blessing that our Savior is one of her descendants through her son, Judah. We might think we're getting the short end of the stick but God's plan is always greater than anything we could ever think or imagine. He's always looking out for us and protecting us. We can simply rest in His hands.
