Daniel was a tried-and-true man of God. He lived in a time of godlessness, but it didn't deter him from continuing to pursue a relationship with God. Others tried to trap him by convincing the king at the time to pass a law forbidding the people from worshipping anyone other than the king himself. Daniel proceeded to worship God anyways and once caught, was sentenced to a lion's den. God protected Daniel in that den. He came out without a scratch on him. In fact, those that plotted against him ended up in the lion's den and were devoured on sight.

Ever notice how when you're living your best life, devoted to God, there seems to be some people who just don't want to see you do well? They want to see you fail, and it's not necessarily because your life is impacting theirs in any kind of way. There's just something about you they can't quite put their finger on. It's likely something they want, don't know how to get, and don't think anyone else is deserving of. But you're just minding your business and doing the work of the Lord, much like Daniel was. Take note of Daniel's response and apply that to situations you're in. Don't worry about what others say about you or try to do to you. God will protect you and handle those who mistreat you.
